The Lutherville Garden Club has won a most prestigious national award from the National Garden Clubs for the Monarch Waystation. The specific award falls under the Community Service Projects, Community Gardens. The club won this award as the overall winner over submissions from all over the country. They received the following announcement from Claire Jones, Federated Garden Clubs of MD (FGCMD) District III Director:
I am happy to announce that our own Lutherville GC has won an award – a very prestigious one! NGC C Award which is listed below. 1st Place! Quite an achievement.

In addition to the national award, the Monarch Waystation won two FGCMD awards for 2021: First Place: Community Service Award, Large Club and the Evelyn M. Cotton Conservation Award, Large Club.
The Wildlife Habitat was also the winner of two FGCMD awards, First Place: Landscape Design Council Award, “Mae Scott Tapestry Award” with a $250 cash prize and Third Place: Civic Development Award, Large Club.
